The Cubs had a new challenge this week… how to put up hammocks! This was a lot of fun with many cubs trying out the hammocks and deciding whether or not they’d fancy actually sleeping in one!
The Cubs worked in their sixes to first find two good trees to attach their hammocks to. They used their knot knowledge from last week to tie their hammocks to the trees.
Then, once their hammock was up, they used a tarp to make a shelter above it. This would keep them dry if they were sleeping in it overnight and it rained.
Lots of great teamwork on display, as always. Great work tonight Cubs – maybe at a future camp we can sleep in hammocks instead of tents??!
Big thanks to Cobra for teaching us all about hammocks!
