This was a big challenge for the Cubs. A 3km hike through Penn Woods in the dark. It was VERY muddy, which made it even harder.

The Cubs were well prepared with warm layers and torches. Akela also had a supply of biscuits, which proved popular.

The Cubs set off from the church in Penn Street, navigating north west through the woods towards the A404. They then turned south, tracking towards the Penna, which runs through the middle of Penn Woods. Following the Penna, the Cubs found themselves back at the Squirrel Pub to meet their parents.

The hike took just over an hour and we were treated to a magnificent view of the night sky, with Mars visible.
